SUMMARY:CUTOUT art exhibition
DESCRIPTION:CUT OUT is a free community workshop series exploring cardboard as both material and metaphor. \nWorks created during the workshops will become part of a collaborative exhibition. \nThe theme responds to the question: Who has access to art making and participation in the arts? Who is cut out? \nUsing accessible materials such as cardboard and found materials\, participants will create sculptures\, cut-outs\, and collages while reflecting on the social conditions that shape participation in the arts. \nCardboard is something that can be found almost any time and anywhere\, regardless of money or circumstances. There are people in the world right now experiencing war\, famine\, censorship\, and other conditions which block their access to materials and visibility. This workshop series is a time to reflect on the world we live in and the world we can build together. \nHosted by Erica Con at 4DWN in partnership with the \ncity of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture
