CUT OUT is a free community workshop series exploring cardboard as both material and metaphor.

Works created during the workshops will become part of a collaborative exhibition.

The theme responds to the question: Who has access to art making and participation in the arts? Who is cut out?

Using accessible materials such as cardboard and found materials, participants will create sculptures, cut-outs, and collages while reflecting on the social conditions that shape participation in the arts.

Cardboard is something that can be found almost any time and anywhere, regardless of money or circumstances. There are people in the world right now experiencing war, famine, censorship, and other conditions which block their access to materials and visibility. This workshop series is a time to reflect on the world we live in and the world we can build together.
